A Tribute to my Dreams is mainly about a matrimonial dispute, the main protagonist Abhay marries a beautiful woman Sveta after an arranged marriage . However after a few years it becomes obvious that they do not get along and they file for divorce. They also have a young daughter Adithi, and her mother refuses to allow Abhay to visit her after they separate. However Abhay is very attached to his daughter and tries very hard to get custody of his daughter while his wife exploits his weakness for his daughter to mental harass him, waste his time.
Getting a divorce is also very difficult and time consuming as Svetha and her lawyer often do not turn up in court when the hearing is scheduled, so Abhay has to waste a lot of time attending the court, only to find that his wife has not turned up. It clearly indicates how stressful and time consuming a divorce or any legal issue can become in India, if one of the spouses is not cooperating or wishes to take revenge as they will simply not turn up when the case hearing is scheduled. Abhay is luckily that his advocate for the case, Sarita Arora is a family friend and a true well wisher, who tries very hard to sincerely get a good deal for him and get custody of his daughter
One of the more interesting aspects of the book is how Sweta and her lawyer intentionally manipulate the system to show that Abhay is a hot headed person who is getting angry very quickly and is not suitable for getting custody of his young daughter. Though he has been granted visitation rights for his daughter despite waiting for more than six months, Sweta and her lawyer do not allow him to contact his daughter, giving flimsy excuses that Sweta and Aditi are not keeping well. Hearing these obvious lies, Abhay becomes very angry, and this is used by Swetha’s lawyer as proof that he has a quick temper and is not to be trusted with the custody of his small daughter.

This is the most interested part of the book as it shows how men will ruthlessly exploit women who love them to further their career and become rich, ignoring the interests of the woman. How Dhruv tries to trace the video and find out what happens forms the rest of the story.

One of the ironies of living in India, is that many middle class families teach their children to be very honest, yet in real life mainly dishonest people do well especially in india in 2017. The book Nice Men Finish Last is the story of the life of a nice dental student Nandu(who later becomes a dentist) and starts with his breakup with his long term girlfriend Noor , who dumps him for a better looking and more influential boyfriend. It is a rather amusing account of how men are willing to do almost anything for a beautiful woman Tanishq Batra, making very great sacrifices to impress her and win her loyalty.
Probably the most interesting part of the book is how is how influential people like the lawyer father of Tanishq can force the landlord to make Nandu and his friend vacate their rental house, and get Nandu fired from his job. Tanishq Batra decides to stay over at the flat of Nandu overnight after telling her father that she is staying in a hostel. She consumes a lot of alcohol and meets an accident. After the accident, Nandu gets a phone call that her father will be sending some to pick him up and take him to the hospital.
Nandu is surprised when police constables come to his house and instead of a hospital, he is taken to the Delhi Police headquarters. There in the company of an IPS officer, the lawyer father of Tanishq batra threatens him with various crimes like kidnapping, attempted rape,intoxicating and other charges which could lead to seven years imprisonment. After crying and pleading with the father and IPS officer, they agree to let him off, provided he stays away from Tanishq. The constable who escorts him out, tells him to stay away from Tanishq and her family, not to meddle in their life as they are rich people who run the country and middle class people have very less power.
However when Nandu returns home , he finds that his room mate Sattu is evacuating the room, as their landlord has given them notice to vacate the room within 24 hours for bring girls. They had been getting girls to their room for many years, however it appears that Tanishq’s powerful father managed to persuade the landlord to give them notice to vacate the house immediately leaving him homeless. Also when he goes to the dental college where he was teaching, the dean calls him and tells them that he has been expelled, for dating a student, probably the work of the IPS officer as the whole college was aware of the affair for some time.
After being losing his job, Nandu returns to his parents in nainital and works part time as a dentist, applies and wins a scholarship to canada. However the long distance relationship if fairly taxing due to different time zones. Another revealing part of the book it describes how beautiful girlfriends can be extremely selfish at times, unable to understand the problems of others especially their boyfriends. When Nandu is unable to give her the attention she demands, Tanishq breaks up. How Nandu deals with it forms the rest of the story.
Though the national logo of India is satyameva jayate, or truth will triumph, in 2017, just the opposite is true, with some people having the license to cheat and lie, without being punished. When Nandu is called to police headquarters he notes the irony, that Tanishq who was responsible for drinking and driving is safe at home, while he is being accused though he is innocent. Often children whose parents are very honest, think that others will also be honest like them, only to find the hard way, that most people are not honest and are often rewarded for their dishonesty, fraud in India. The book has two well illustrated stories teaching the dangers of trusting so called well wishers, a hen who finds her eggs missing, and penguin, reindeer who find their food missing .

“Akshay Tara” is a typical rich boy poor girl romance after arranged marriage. However the book is different from most other books available from indian authors like Chetan Bhagat as it has highlighted the great differences in India society, between those who are wealthy and the middle class, lower middle class, their lifestyle , food that they consume, and living with an extremely limited budget. Most of the books from Indian authors are usually describing the life of wealthy indians and mostly upper middle class indians, they do not provide any information on the poorer people. This attitude continues online also, as many bloggers say that everyone has a smartphone, when many indian citizens do not have food to eat
The book is very detailed, the author has provided very detailed information about the differences in the life of wealthy and lower middle class indians. For example he describes how the heroine Tara, who comes from a relatively poor family has been using rice costing Rs 18 per kilo, while in rich families like the family of the hero, Akshay Dev, the rice used is costing Rs 125 per kilo. The story is based in Mumbai, and about a rich industrialist family the Dev family, owning factories and having may assets. Most of the book is devoted to the various romances of the hero Akshay and his brother Samarth, rich indian families, club life, parties and dating.
The hero and heroine of the story Akshay Tara are good looking tall and almost without any kind of flaw, so the really interesting characters in the book are the various vamps and villians like Ria, the sister in law of Akshay, Rambha, his mother in law, his ex girlfriend Shehnaz and others. Samarth is married to his neighbour Jiya, a fairly common practise in Mumbai, however their marriage is on the rocks, as they have many disputes. Ria is Jiya’s sister who had an open relationship with Akshay and is upset when he agrees to marry Tara, soon after meeting her. Her “people skills” and ability to manipulate people by telling lies are the most revealing parts of the book.
Tara has been born after her eldest sister was born, and the problems faced by her , are commonly faced by those whose parents have married late or who have been born to older parents. In India most people are getting married and having children in their twenties, and those with older parents face a number of problems, especially girls, as young girls are often harassed by men including relatives, who are trying to exploit them. In india, single women living alone are ruthlessly harassed, defamed, cheated and exploited, so the father is always worried about what will happen to his single daughter, after his death.
The book again highlights how the beauty of a woman is the most important consideration for getting a rich husband, and early marriage is most suitable for girls in India. “Adding salt to make it sweeter” is a self help book which is a compilation of various anecdotes and stories. Some of the stories are real life incidents, stories told by the relatives and friends of the author and others are compiled from indian mythology such as the life of lord Krishna, the Mahabharata. Other stories are real life scientific incidents like the growth of the arowana fish, which grows depending on the size of the tank it is placed in. In wild the fish will grow upto a length of 3 feet , however in a tank, the size is limited by the tank size. The author indicates that the growth of a person is constrained by the limits he or she places.
The book is divided into 50 easy to read and helpful chapters, each of which highlights different aspects of life. Each chapter ends with a question, asking the person to introspect, about his or her life, and also note down the lesson from each story. Each chapter is only a few pages and can be read separately without losing continuity, making it an ideal book to read while travelling or for a person who is short of time

Key to my soul is the story of a high school romance that ended in a rather messy fashion and how the lovers meet each other after a few decades. Siddharth was working in a company in Bhubhaneshwar when he gets a phone call, that Hazel, his high school girlfriend was critical and has left a message for him. The story is about how he returns to Jamshedpur where he grew up and patches up with her forms the rest of the story. The story is narrated in flashback mode as Siddharth remembers how he met his girlfriend and how the romance developed over a period of time, and how they got separated in a rather abrupt manner.
It is also the story of how the IT sector affected indian society and engineers also, as the marriage of the main male protaganist breaks up as his wife prefers to join the high flying IT sector and settles in the United states, refusing to give a quick divorce. Siddharth is married to Kiran , and though he was happy with his marriage for the first few years, slowly his wife drifts apart, taking up a job and labelling him as unambitious because he is not willing to go to the United and change to the IT sector. Almost all his school friends have changed to the IT sector because of the higher salaries offered, almost no one is living in Jamshedpur
More relevant is how the immediate family, especially parents are only persons who can be trusted. Siddharth’s mother had died when he was seven years old and his father had bought him up alone. When siddharth got into trouble for his affair with Hazel, his father was also attacked and had to relocate to the united states. After his father retired , he returned to India to look after siddharth’s grandmother in their ancestral home in a small town, indicating the close relationship between parents and children in india. Parents are often the only real well wishers for the children
The story of the romance is however rather simplistic in India at present because most men especially NTRO employees are very great frauds falsely claiming to help vulnerable single women when they want to steal everything from her, including her resume, savings, correspondence and destroy her life. For example the domain investor a single woman engineer found that fraud ntro employees like puneet, parmar, j srinivasan, vijay, patel and others falsely claimed to know her very well, so that they could steal her resume and get their lazy greedy mediocre girlfriends like shivalli brahmin cheater housewife bbm nayanshree hathwar, goan gsb fraud housewife extortionist riddhi nayak who looks like kangana ranaut, goan obc bhandari sex worker sunaina chodan,2013 bsc, goan gsb fraud siddhi mandrekar, indore fraud and other frauds lucrative R&AW/CBI jobs with the stolen resume of the domain investor
In India in reality, most men especially ntro employees are only interested in cheating and exploiting vulnerable single women who are not well connected wasting indian tax payer money. For example if the above disclaimer was not specifically mentioned the shameless section 420 fraud ntro, cbi, raw, google, tata employees would falsely claim that the google , tata sponsored brahmin fraud housewives riddhi nayak, nayanshree hathwar, siddhi mandrekar, sunaina and other fraud R&AW/CBI employees, lazy liars had written the review to get these conwomen even more powers. In the 1980 and 1990’s india was largely conservative and those from traditional families mostly did not have boyfriends or girlfriends, they focussed on their studies , career and making money. However a few, especially those who were good looking had close friends from the opposite sex, and they will find it easier to relate to the story. A well written novel set in small town India .

The Search of the Myth is the story of a rather unusual treasure hunt which started in 1782 with a shipwreck . The ship Grosnover is supposed to taking a treasure from Madras to London which is eagerly awaited by the king. However due to stormy weather, the shop Grosnover is shipwrecked at the Pondolan coast of south africa , and the only person surviving the ship wreck with the important casket is the captain John Coxon. Afraid that he will be held responsible for ship wreck and punished by the king, the captain who is rescued by another ship, changes his name when he manages to reach london and starts life anew. The story then jumps a few centuries to present day London
The tall good looking June Fox is a history student in London, whose grandfather gives her a note on his death bed which could lead to a huge treasure which was hidden centuries ago. Clues to where the real treaure is hidden are provided in a series of notes. There are others like the evil and powerful Mr Kvoski are also interested in getting hold of the treasure at any cost at all and has seemingly infinite resources , killing people who oppose recklessly including Junes mother when June initially refuses to give him the note. However June manages to trick Mr Kvoski, giving him a note with the same message written on aged paper
After her grandfathers death, when June finds an email from a person she does not know that he has solved the mystery, she decides to meet him personally, visiting india with her friend Emma to trace the mysterious treasure. The person who claims to have resolved the message in the note is Shiva Khanna, an archaeologist and a treasure hunter. Having detailed information on India and indian history , shiva is able to help June decode the message and reach the city where the treasure is supposed to have been hidden. The notes are written in the language style of english of a few centuries ago, and refer to historical structures and events.
The story then tells how the different clues which form a part of the treasure hunt are decoded by June, Emma, Shiva visiting multiple cities in India. They take the help of an expert, mr Abhijit Sharma to get the matter resolved. The persistent powerful Mr Kvoski follows them to india in his private plane trying to get hold of the hidden treasure with his well armed killer bodyguards the story is fast paced, with dialogues written in an unusual manner similar to a drama or play. A lot of research has been done to write the book and gives a glimpse of indian history a few centuries ago, as the europeans especially the british started ruling India. The book has an unusual ending.
The self published book again highlights the great google online fraud on domain investors, online publishers, bribing NTRO employees to viciously defame online publishers as having poor written english skills to steal their resume, deny them the income, opportunities they deserved, when actually their english skills are the same or often better than most self published books in India. The author Prithviraj Desai has an MBA from Brussels, however he continues to live in his village of Fatorpa, goa, and there are relatively few opportunities for those who remain in goa, however well educated or well qualified they may be.
An interesting and unusual book especially for those who are interested in treasure hunts and historical fiction

The novel Kansa begins with a couple returning from a wedding in a car, colliding with a woman at night, They think that they have met with an accident, however the woman is not injured, she is in a daze, after an extremely traumatic experience. Later it is found that the woman Mehar had been kidnapped, and her new born baby had been murdered. The case is assigned to ACP Saargi Desai, from delhi who has developed a reputation for being a fearless officer. The killing of the baby revives the memory of similar murders, where pregnant women were kidnapped, and later they were found dead, along with their babies. The killer who was never identified, or traced was nicknamed as Kansa in the media, after the mythological figure
To solve the case ACP Saargi Desai takes the help of a criminology professor Virat, nicknamed professor black, who is considered to be greatest expert in catching criminals . Mehar is asked to draw the place where she was kept after being kidnappped, and the ACP and professor find that property belongs to one Dayal Singh who was living in Pune. When they go to Pune, they find that Dayal Singh died some time ago, allegedly killing himself in prison and he was imprisoned when found guilty of killing his wife, His adopted daughter is also found dead, and his son has also disappeared. There is little information available except some old photos of a party which show the wife of Dayal Singh, Mira flirting with another man
The ACP and Professor black who had a troubled past, are then able to use the resources available to trace the son of Dayal singh and also find out more about the boyfriend of Mira, Roy the owner of a pharma company. A lot more blood is shed as ACP and her associates try to find out who the real Kansa is, the motive for killing new born babies in the fast paced, extremely well written mystery novel which could be easily made into a movie or television serial
The indian mainstream media often portrays the indian intelligence and security agencies as honest saints who will never break the law. However some indian citizens realize the hard way, that indian intelligence and security agencies are entering their house repeatedly with duplicate keys and stealing whatever they wish to without the knowledge of the person residing in the house, especially if bribed by large corporates like google, tata. This harassment method is cause home intrusion, was originally perfected by KGB, the soviet secret service has been discussed in other novels also, however Kansa is the first indian novel which shows security agency employees using this method
For example the intelligence and security agencies in panaji, goa have been repeatedly stealing the documents of a harmless google competitor, engineer with a better 1989 jee rank than google ceo sundar pichai to cause mental stress and force her to agree to identity theft, give up her impressive resume including btech 1993 ee degree, investment to the 10 lazy greedy mediocre google, tata sponsored goan sex workers, cheater housewife, blackmailer and other fraud R&AW/CBI/indian intelligence employees who never answered JEE, yet get a monthly indian government salary for faking a btech 1993 ee degree. The book is also interesting as it is a reflection of the lifestyle of young people today. As Karan Johar mentions in his book “An unsuitable boy” many of those who graduated in the early nineties were quite innocent and did not have any affairs. In contrast, ACP Saargi Desai had hundreds of one night stands at a fairly young age. Also it appears that government employees like ACP Desai, shop online extensively as they can afford to unlike broke domain investors subjected to identity theft. The book also shows how wealthy people manipulate the system in India without being caught. The writer has an excellent writing style, it is difficult for the reader to put down the book. There are almost no spelling and grammar mistakes, unlike most of the indian books available at goodreads giveaways
An extremely well written fast paced mystery thriller, ideal for relaxing and forgetting everything else

Part science fiction, partly based on real life, the book “second chance” is the story of a shoe business owner Shekhar Kapoor who has inherited the business from his father who is paralyzed and is confined to his home. The father of Shekhar Kapoor, Balraj Kapoor is considered to be a pioneer in the footwear industry and has built a large business. However Shekhar Kapoor is upset with his father because he believes that his father is responsible for the death of his beautiful mother , who died in a car accident, after driving the car though she did not know driving well.
As the story begins, Shekhar Kapoor leads the life of a typical arrogant spoilt brat businessman, treating his employees shabbily, demoting the general manager Kailash to the post of peon, reducing his salary, not taking care of his aged paralyzed father and giving promotion to the newly joined employee Hrishita after she sleeps with him in his home, though she knows nothing about the business. On the other hand, a loyal experienced employee Unnati does not get the promotion despite working for more than three years, because she does not wish to become his personal assistant, where he can ogle at her .Every time he misbehaves he gets a message from the ministry of justice, however he ignores the warning, thinking that it is a joke or threat.
Shekhar Kapoor also wishes to take over the business of his rival company Feetland owned by Ashutosh Upadhyay, so that instead of feetland, Shekhar kapoor is featured in leading business magazines. He meets Ashutosh Upadhyay and his brother in law Yatan Dumre with a buyout offer, however Ashutosh Upadhyay refuses the offer. However after some time, Ashutosh Upadhyay finds that his business has been sold to Shekhar Kapoor without his knowledge or permission for Rs 500 crore as Shekhar Kapoor ‘s lawyers are able to provide papers with the valid sign of Ashutosh Upadhyay, which the owner of Feetland is not able to legally dispute.
However soon aftewards Shekhar Kapoor meets with a car accident while driving his black Cadillac car and is transported to a place called ministry of justice, where he is told of his various atrocities and misbehavior, and the punishment he should endure for all his fraud, atrocities. The punishment terrified Shekhar Kapoor and since his mother loved him a lot, he is given a second chance to live on earth, and undo the different atrocities he has committed. After he returns on earth, Shekhar Kapoor turns a new leaf and this forms the rest of the story
The book is interesting as it provides a glimpse of how indian businesses actually work, using relatives to betray, destroy the life of business owners. For example the indore fraud housewife betrayed the domain investor who trusted her, stealing the documents of the domain investor and for her crime, google, tata, ntro,raw, cbi rewarded the indore fraud housewife with a R&AW job and monthly salary at the expense of the domain investor who is getting nothing. Though the indore fraud R&AW employees veena,deepika, and others are not spending any money, not doing any work online, the indian government is completely controlled by corrupt companies like google, tata and falsely claim that the indore and other frauds own this website and other domains to pay all these frauds a monthly indian government salary at the expense of the google competitor.
Similarly shivalli brahmin cheater housewife bbm nayanshree hathwar cheated the domain investor, google competitor of more than Rs 1.1 lakh, goan gsb fraud diploma holder siddhi mandrekar committed corporate espionage on the domain investor, google competitor are were again rewarded with R&AW jobs, falsely claiming that they had the impressive resume including btech 1993 ee degree, investment of the google competitor who they cheated
The fiction book “Second Chance” is written by a doctor, Dr Sandeep Jatwa, one of many doctors who have self published a book. This is also interesting because though the training for doctors is far more rigorous than engineers, the medical council of india does not take any action or harass doctors for writing as it is only a hobby. On the other hand, engineers from top indian colleges are mercilessly stalked, defamed and tortured by ntro, cbi, indian intelligence and security agencies only for writing, their resume, retirement savings, correspondence, memory stolen by ntro, security agencies without a court order or legally valid reason. When doctors can write freely why are engineers stalked and harassed for writing wasting crores of indian tax payer money.
